[USED] Lava Beds Underground
Description
Tim Aslett, PB, Lava Beds Natural History Association, 1982.
Lava Beds National Monument lies on the north slope of the huge Medicine Lake Shield Volcano, a complex volcano containing at least fifty times the bulk of the Mount Shasta volcanic cone. The most recent eruption in this area was approximately eleven hundred years ago and the area is still active today.
This book provides a guide to the lava beds.
